City Centre. Stockholm City Centre located entirely inside the metropolitan and divided into two parts of historical significance, Uppland and Södermanland. The oldest city with historical city status in Södermanland is Södertälje, granted at around 1000 AD. The impressive Castle of Gipsholm and the Gripsholm Runestone, a Viking rune stone is located within this area. Apart from that, the Cemetery of Skogskyrkogården, an architectural masterpiece early 19th century is also located here.
