Not what you're looking for?

Toolo – The name Toolo does not belong to one district but comprises of two different districts, Etu-Toolo and Taka-Toolo, and Toolo is not an official district. You may want to keep that in mind since the signboards and public transportation doesn't use the name Toolo to represent those two areas. The area, originally farms and forests was developed between 1920 and 1930 to accommodate Helsinki population boom and today, Toolo is a respected residential area, especially Etu-Toolo, well known to house many upper scale families.

You'll be surprised to find many parks and functionalist architectural designs as you walk around in this district, especially Taka-Toolo. Notable points of interests here include the Toolonahti or the Gulf of Toolo, National Opera, National Museum of Finland and the Zoological Museum. Olympic Stadium, Finnair Stadium, Sports Hall and Ice Hall are all within walking distance, so be prepared for a long walk when visiting here.
