Hotels in Vesterbro - Located just outside Copenhagen City Centre, budget hotels are bountiful where you are sure to find one in every street. Famous for its endless nightlife and a once active red light area, most hotels provide decent rooms with basic amenities and toiletries. If you're travelling alone or with a partner and planning for a night round trip visiting clubs, not to worry as most hotels have their reception open 24 hours to accommodate late travellers especially the party goers. Taxis here know their town well, should you need return to your hotel, just hop in and mention your hotel name, and they'll get you there in no time. Though the amenities and service given by these budget hotels are good, but due to reputation of this area, it's not recommended for family stays.
There are also upscale hotels within the vicinity, suitable for business travellers and those vacationing with their family. Most luxury hotels provide comfortable rooms with stylish décor and lavish furnishings. Some also offer premium amenities such as mini golf park, spas and saunas. Most of these posh hotels centre on major attraction here, which are, the first Carlsberg brewery and the Copenhagen museum. If you're travelling with family and needed an accommodation near to the city centre, yet easy to reach the outskirts then this where you should stop looking!
Vesterbro – Located just outside Copenhagen City Centre, Vesterbro is an attractive place to live as other areas are easily accessible like the the Indre Nørrebro, Indre Østerbro, Frederiksberg, and Christianshavn. Though not exactly a tourist centered town but there are quite a number of attractions one must see when visiting here, such as the Carlsberg district and the Museum of Copenhagen. When Carlsberg were given permission to build their brewery here back in 1847, they have changed the entire landscape of the town with buildings and towers to beautify the city that holds their biggest brewery factory. Now, these buildings are still maintained although there is no mass production going on. Visitors can have a look at the old brewery and the buildings with a minimal entrance fee and while you're at it, don't miss the picturesque Carlsberg Winding Tower.
Istedgade is yet another exciting district to visit, suitable for those who prefer clubbing and partying all night long but it's not the main attraction here. The real attractions are the small rows of fashion stores along the street up to the end. These stores sell almost everything Danish and Scandinavian in entire region, with good bargain too. If you came with family and planning to shop a few items here, avoid coming at nights as there are still a few prostitution centres with vulgar posters scattered around that opens only at nights. Prostitution and pornography is legal in Denmark, so if you're from less tolerant society, it is best to avoid these places. You may want to avoid area near Halmtorvet as well as it's a known red light area with a few gay clubs as well.
